Watch: The Imposter Trailer

The Imposter is a documentary about the true life case of the disappearance of a 13 year-old Texas boy named Nicholas Barclay. This documentary combines real footage and interviews with stylish noir re-enactments (which are normally cheesy but look fantastic in this). It looks to be enthralling and unsettling.

On June 13, 1994 Nicholas Barclay went missing from his family in Texas. Three and a half years later the boy is found in another country. But things take an interesting turn when the kid has different colored skin and eyes and has an accent. Without any knowledge of the case, it is hard to tell whether or not the family has something it is hiding or not.

The Imposter will be in theaters on July 18, 2012 (18 years and 1 month after the incident).
