Trailer: Witching and Bitching

Spanish cult filmmaker Alex de la Iglesia’s latest entry into horror-comedy has released a new trailer full of guns, booms and… brooms? Witching and Bitching first premiered at last year’s Toronto International Film Festival, but has bounced around the festival circuit since then and will be landing at the Seattle International Film Festival for two screenings later this month. The film also spent a week in Spain as the #1 film in theaters under its original Spanish title Las brujas de Zugarramurdi.

The dark comedy follows a divorced dad, José (Hugo Silva) and his friends on the run after messing up a robbery, only to stumble upon a coven of witches eager to exact revenge on the men. At times strange, often silly and occasionally sexy, Witching and Bitching is the best kind of bizarre roller coaster ride that ends in a must-be-seen-to-be-believed climax.

The upcoming IFC Midnight feature will hit select theaters and be available to all on VOD June 13th, provided you’re not in Seattle and able to catch it at SIFF.
