Even the law recognises one can not be ‘tried’ before the age of 12 as reasoning capacity is not formed until about then. I’m not sure Goerges should feel guilty, not do I think its fair for Majid blame possible mishaps in his life to the failed adoption. If the boys had been older, say 15 or 16, the film would have been more powerful in terms of exploring the guilt complex.
