Hardly, in fact it brought disgrace to the actual events. Pretty much ruined it for everyone once we looked up what really happened.

I was raised in northern Ontario and wandered the bush as a kid for 2 decades and never actually saw a bear in the wild. Park bears are much different in that they can lose their fear of humans and can associate campers with food. Just know as much as you can about a bear’s amazing smelling abilities and how to camp properly in bear areas which is almost everywhere in Canada.
