First of all, penultimate means “second to last” not “more ultimate”. Secondly, the progress of Malick’s work is not a “cavalcade”. He is notoriously slow to complete pictures and it’s a contradiction to talk about “slowly chipping away” and cavalcade together. And finally it’s very silly to talk about breaking down the “foundations of cinema”. Not he isn’t, he’s just making films, however innovative they might be.

You like his work, that’s great, but you should follow the cinematic dictum of show us don’t tell us. More evidence and fewer overly dramatic adjectives would be more effective here.
