watching season 2 will recall that whole first episode (for reasons that
will become apparent) is filmed in 4:3. It really works and not just as a gimmick. Roll on tonight for the series 2 finale.

It really is mindbogglingly good piece of television. Brutal, shocking, disturbing and frighting in equal measures but also somehow very beautiful. I’m really not sure about the US remake, as much as I respect HBO – they can and do make some really good TV and aren’t scared to push the boundaries – I just don’t see what extra they could possibly bring to the party.
